By the time that Whisper had gotten close enough to see Rip, it was difficult to tell exactly what he was doing. She took a chance in inching closer, but it soon became clear that he had been trying to spy on a group of boys who were now leaving, though Rip didn't seem to move anywhere. A frown settled onto her face, peeking out a bit further... though it quickly became clear that Rip was looking in her direction. In an instant, she moved back behind the wall, beginning to make her way away from the situation as though nothing was going on.

Rip frowned as Whisper moved out of sight. He couldn't tell what she was up to. She could be hiding because she saw him or she could be hiding because she was following him. While he would rather get down to business with the boys, he wasn't going to let the chance of seeing what Whisper was up to slip away. She seemed determined to make things difficult for not only him but also the whole borough.
He stayed in the alleyway, arms crossed, just watching Whisper.

Whisper's strides were quick away from the alleyway, long locks practically flying behind her as she continued her way away from the alleyway. Something just didn't feel right with all of this. Why was Rip spying on those boys? Had one of them been the one spreading the rumor? And how would he have figured that out?

Rip waited a few minutes, before stepping out of the alleyway. It seemed as if he lost Whisper after all. She was either getting away or was up to some other mischief. At this point, it didn't matter. He wasn't going to go looking for her. Even if he found her, it wasn't like she would answer his questions. He would just get back to checking on all his boys, but he would keep an eye out if she was following him.
