"Later, Jack."
Jack chuckled a bit, nodding briefly. "Later, Spot."
And with that, the cowboy was gone.

"Later, Spot."
Spot sighed, glad that it was over and nothing serious had happened yet. Though he could never be too cautious.
((Just letting you know I'm watching a movie with my sister so I'll be on and off. XD))

[Sounds good xx]
Jack was quite worried about Spot and what could happen with Rip and such in Brooklyn. While he most likely would have originally put David back in over there, but he couldn't risk it. Not now. Not when there was so much at stake... Not even if he was risking someone's life either way.

Spot sighed as he headed out of Tibby's. The talk with Jack had been good, but still it did bring not so great news. Sure Rip hadn't done anything yet, but soon he would make his move. It was all a matter of time. Time that Spot wasn't so sure he had.
He put his cap on and set his lap in a firm line. He'd be prepared this time.

Jack could barely handle thinking about people getting hurt at all, especially because of him. After all, what was he supposed to do? He had led the newsies in a strike, and now he was just gonna sit around and act like it was alright with him if Spot got hurt?
Turning around with a sigh, Jack called back out to the Brooklyn leader. "Hey Spot!" It only took him a few moments to jog to the boy's side. "Lemme walk ya ta the bridge. Just ta make sure nothin' happens ta ya."

"Hey Spot!"
Spot turned as he heard Jack's voice behind him suddenly. He was surprised to find the Manhattan leader coming up to him. He squinted and raised an eyebrow at him. "Somethin' wrong?"
"Lemme walk ya ta the bridge. Just ta make sure nothin' happens ta ya."
He made a face. "Really, Jack? I can handle a short walk from here ta the bridge, no problem." He patted his cane for extra emphasis.

"Really, Jack? I can handle a short walk from here ta the bridge, no problem."
Jack rolled his eyes, "I know ya can, but that doesn't mean that I'm just gonna let ya. I'm the leader, I should make sure that nothin' happens ta ya on my watch, especially when I'm the one who called ya inta 'Hattan in the first place."

""I know ya can, but that doesn't mean that I'm just gonna let ya."
Spot huffed. "It's jus' a short walk."
"I'm the leader, I should make sure that nothin' happens ta ya on my watch, especially when I'm the one who called ya inta 'Hattan in the first place."
He huffed again, understanding Jack's point, but still annoyed. He didn't like being walked to the bridge. He could handle himself!

"It's jus' a short walk."
"... So it shouldn't be a problem if I do." Jack crossed his arms over his chest stubbornly, unwilling to budge about the topic. His reasons made sense, he was behaving rationally, so what was the problem with it?

"... So it shouldn't be a problem if I do."
Spot sighed and begrudgingly answered, "No... shouldn't be."
He might let Jack walk him over, but it didn't mean he had to like it!

"No... shouldn't be."
Jack flashed a grin of triumph at the shorter boy, beginning to walk as though he didn't have a care in the world.
"I'm glad we finally agree, Spot."

"I'm glad we finally agree, Spot."
Spot snorted and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Jus' a short walk," he muttered.
It was just Manhattan after all. Nothing ever happened. Spot could make it to the bridge just fine.

"Jus' a short walk,"
Jack nodded, although he didn't say much after that. His eyes once again fell to the ground, kicking around some pebbles as he walked.

Spot remained silent as they made their way to the bridge. He had no reason to talk really. He just wanted to get back to Brooklyn. He had some things to straighten out. Like finding Jockey, and sending him back to Queens permanently. There was also alot of planning to do. He had to think about what he could do to attack Rip first and possible start thinking about who would replace him as leader just in case anything happened.

Jack felt terrible knowing that Spot was in so much danger to begin with. From what he could tell, there wasn't a really good reason for Rip to be so angry in the first place, especially with Darcy being gone. There wasn't any reason for Spot to have to die, and Rip just seemed to be out for blood to begin with. That was one thing that made a horrible leader for any borough.

Spot was very relieved when they reached the bridge. Despite it being a short walk, it had certainly taken what felt like forever to get there. He was more than ready to head back home.
He glanced over at Jack and nodded slightly. "Later, Cowboy."

"Later, Cowboy."
Jack nodded briefly, a bit glad that the walk was over, although it hadn't taken very long to begin with. "Later, Spot. Good luck with everythin'."

"Later, Spot. Good luck with everythin'."
Spot nodded, shrugging some. Luck... but you never knew. He might have a little bit left.
"Yeah... thanks."
He gave one last wave of goodbye before crossing the bridge.

"Yeah... thanks."
Watching Spot cross the bridge was quite a nerve-wracking experience for the cowboy, considering he knew perfectly well that it could be his last time seeing the Brooklyn leader. However, his hopes were high.
We've got your back.
