Rip sat on a crate on the roof of the lodge. The other boys rarely came up here so he knew he could enjoy some peace and quiet for a little bit. Besides, he needed to clean his knives without anyone poking around. He hated people inspecting his knives while he was trying to sharpen and clean them. It was really annoying and distracting. Up here, he could sharpen all his knives and plot out his plan of revenge. And that was the most important thing he needed to work on.
Ever since Darcy fled four years ago, his plans of revenge had gone awry. Now it was due time to think up a new plot for revenge. Spot Conlon was going to pay dearly.

Bandit stirred a bit on the roof of the lodge. He had spent most of the night hiding out from some not so friendly looking characters. It had been a nice night anyway. No rain and no clouds. Perfect for sleeping in the roof avoiding getting caught. He was getting to old to be covering for kids stealing money. He let out a groan. Whoever that kid was that caught him and a heck of a punch. Bandit was good at taking hits though. Years of practice. He was much better at hiding and sneaking along. And that's all that saved him from a soaking he wouldn't forget.
He sat up groggily knowing it was later then he had expected to wake up. Stretching as best he could without hurting himself he moved to get up. Though he wasn't too sure where he'd go he knew he needed to go somewhere. Couldn't stay on the roof forever.

Rip tensed as he heard movement on the roof. Apparently, there was someone else on the roof. He scowled, angry at himself for slipping up and not doing a thorough check of the roof. He twirled the knife he had just finished sharpening. He narrowed his eyes in the direction that the noise was coming from.
As a warning, he threw his knife just inches from where Bandit rested. "Who's there?" he growled.

Bandit jumped a bit as he heard the knife dig into the crate he was resting near. He looked up over at Rip. "Hey sorry..." He said trying not not to yawn. Pulling the knife out he passed it over. "Hope I didn't bother ya much."

"Hey sorry..."
Rip scowled at Bandit and stood up. "Watch it," he growled, taking his knife back.
"Hope I didn't bother ya much."
"Bothered me enough," he snorted and packed up his knives. He had just finished sharpening them so Bandit hadn't interrupted that. Though, the guy had interrupted his thoughts sending him into a terrible mood.

Watch it,
Bandit shrugged off the bitter tone of the leader of Queens. "Yeah...whatever ya say." He rolled his eyes a bit. He wasn't up for dealing with Rip.
Bothered me enough,
"Sorry about that. I'm sure you'll be fine." Bandit said plopping down on the edge of the roof. "Ya know...if ya have ta come up here ta get lost in your thoughts they usually aren't good. Too quiet let's bad thoughts come in." He said leaning back a bit to stretch.

"Yeah...whatever ya say."
Rip scowled as he slung his bag of knives over his shoulder.
"Sorry about that. I'm sure you'll be fine."
It was now his turn to roll his eyes. "Sorry don't fix things."
"Ya know...if ya have ta come up here ta get lost in your thoughts they usually aren't good. Too quiet let's bad thoughts come in."
"Mind your own business, Bandit," Rip growled. He didn't like it when the younger boys butted heads with him like this. Jockey was the worse though.

Sorry don't fix things
"That's all I can do." He shrugged a bit.
Mind your own business, Bandit,[/I{
Bandit rolled his eyes again. "Want me ta get ya back on track? It's either Darcy or Spot. Pick one and sulk about that." Bandit huffed. "Besides I was here first so ya kinda just dropped your business in mine." He said with a yawn.

"That's all I can do."
Rip snorted. Just saying apologies didn't get you anywhere. You had to show it.
"Want me ta get ya back on track? It's either Darcy or Spot. Pick one and sulk about that."
His left hand hovered over his knife bag as he glared darkly at Bandit. "Best keep your mouth shut or I'll do it for you. I don't miss."
"Besides I was here first so ya kinda just dropped your business in mine."
Rip rolled his eyes. "I ain't the one gettin' nosy about you bein' here. I minded my own business." He hopped down to the fire escape not wanting to talk to the younger boy any longer than he had to.

Bandit waited a few minutes before climbing down to find his own bed. Rip wasn't the nicest person to be around. But no one felt ill of him. Most would do anything he asked. He was their leader. Crawling into his top bunk bed he tried to lay low and maybe get a decent sleep that wasn't on the roof.
