Spot was at the beach, a rather rare occurrence. But it was spring now, and the weather was finally nice enough to enjoy the beach without any cold winds. The boys were settling into their usual routines now that winter was officially over. Things had been pleasant, not that Spot minded. He was glad things were calm, but he knew those times didn't last long. Trouble was brewing like a storm in the distance. He had things to figure out...
He tossed a stone against the calm waters. It skipped once, twice, before sinking down below. Shooting his slingshot helped him focus, but somehow skipping stones calmed him down. It made him more thoughtful and peaceful he supposed. After everything that happened that past couple of weeks, he needed some peace inside himself. It was no good rushing himself into trouble. He needed to straighten out his thoughts and worries. And well, Coney Island was the place to do it. The amusement park wouldn't open for a couple more hours, so he had the place mostly to himself. The boys were too busy elsewhere, enjoying their new freedoms.
Here... he was alone, skipping stones.
