Name: Clinton Oakley
Nickname: Jockey
Age: 17
Birthday: October 1st
Height: 5' 7"
Borough: Queens
Occupation: partime newsie, stable boy, and jockey
Personality: Jockey is a laid back sort of guy. Whatever life throws at him, he just rolls with the punches. He doesn't like to get into trouble, but he isn't afraid to stand up to bullies if necessary. He's not afraid to talk back to Rip when he thinks the older boy is being boneheaded. He tends to butt heads with Rip often since the two tend to disagree about how the borough is being run.
Description: Jockey is decently tall for his age. He may catch up to Rip in height at the rate he's growing. He has light brownish-blonde hair and hazel eyes (though some claim that they are blue!).
Skills, Talents, Hobbies: He's great with horses and loves riding. He doesn't mind the hard work that comes with having to care for the horses at the race track. When he's not at the race track or with horses, Jockey likes to throw darts and play cards. He's an extremely good shot and can hit practically anything even if his eyes are closed.
Background: Jockey grew up in Queens, though he really wishes he had grown up in Brooklyn since the borough is right next to the race track. His parents liked their borough and were rather dedicated to it, so Jockey remained there in their honor even after they both passed away from illness when he was ten years old. He isn't quite comfortable with living with so many boys at the lodge, but he has become somewhat accustomed to it. He avoids too much contact with the Queens boys since he knows he'll get into all sorts of trouble since he's a bit of a borough jumper. When it comes down to it, he's loyal to his borough. But he can't help but think that they are being ridiculous in their feud with Brooklyn. He doesn't really see a problem with it. The Brooklyn newsies don't seem to know he's from Queens, but they treat him just fine. The Queens tend to soak him as soon as he steps over into Queens from Brooklyn even if they know he's not a Brooklynner.
Other Notes: Jockey loves racing and hopes to one day be a better jockey and maybe even buy his own horse.
