Rip slipped into the library after he was positive no one had seen him. It wasn't too hard for him, even though he was rather tall. Most of the boys and girls didn't venture around the library making it easy to slip in. But, he liked to be sure. He didn't want any of his boys seeing a tough guy like him at the library. The library was a sacred place for him (well that and Maple Grove Cemetery). He didn't want anyone ruining his secret spots.
He knew his way around the library quite well and found his special spot. It was out of sight to most of the library and was part of the library that needed fixing. No one ever went over there. It made the perfect place for Rip to hide and enjoy a good book.

Bookworm was carrying far too many books to be walking around in the section of the library that was the easiest to trip in. She looked around her stake of books that needed to be returned to their shelves. Bookworm liked this section of the library when she wasn't working. When she was putting books away she didn't like it cause she was always afraid to fall and hurt the books. Another look around the books and she saw Rip in the spot he was always at when he came to the library. Bookworm was too focused on the leader of Queens and trying to see what book he had decided to read today to see the break in the floor. The books flew out of her arms as she fell to the floor scrapping her knees and her hands. Bookworm sat up and wiped her hands off to make sure she didn't get blood on the books.

Rip immediately looked up when he heard a rather loud thud. Out of habit, his hand immediately flew to his bag where his knives were hidden. He raised an eyebrow when he spotted Bookworm. It wasn't too surprising to see her here. After all, she always had her nose stuck in a book.
Only problem was, had she seen him? He didn't like rumors floating around about him one bit.

Bookworm stacked the books and sat back and looked at her hands. She hadn't realized they were shaking. Shaking her hands a bit to somehow rid herself of the shakes she hadn't intended to get. It didn't help though. Her hands shook and she rubbed her hands again and carefully picked up the books and sat them on the table closest to her. Bookworm moved to sit in the chair and tried to calm down. She didn't really notice that she was sitting across from Rip.

Rip stayed as still as a statue as Bookworm sat across from him. Maybe if he didn't move, she wouldn't see him. He'd really hate for anyone to find out about this. He never hit a girl and would hate to have to use force. But it came down to it, he would do it. He had a reputation to live up to, and not just around his boys. There was the gang to worry about. He couldn't have them knowing he liked reading occasionally. Getting in trouble with them was the last thing he wanted, especially with revenge so close.

Bookworm looked up at Rip. She catiously asked him a question. "What book are you reading...?" Bookworm said looking at the stack of books she had and the one he had. "I won't tell anyone. I haven't yet..." Bookworm said casually before curling up in the chair. "Sorry...you probably don't wanna be bothered. I know I wouldn't. So ignore me I'll be on my way once I'm less shaken up."

"What book are you reading...?"
Rip's hand twitched slightly over his bag. His eyes narrowed at Bookworm.
"I won't tell anyone. I haven't yet..."
He growled. "You better not." He gestured ever so slightly to a knife that was barely poking out of his bag.
"Sorry...you probably don't wanna be bothered. I know I wouldn't. So ignore me I'll be on my way once I'm less shaken up."
He snorted and slowly stood up. He didn't care for company, and he certainly did not care for being bothered either.

You better not.
Bookworm looked at the knife. And picked up a book. "Don't be mean..." She said grumpily. "I was just curious." Bookworm picked up the rest of her stack of books she needed to put away. "Finish your book. I'll put it away when you're done." She huffed a bit getting all the books up off the table. Slipping between the shelves she slowly started putting the books back on the shelves. It was getting late and the library would be closing soon. Bookworm had to get all the books out away before then.

"Don't be mean... I was just curious."
Rip growled. "Curiosity killed the cat."
"Finish your book. I'll put it away when you're done."
He frowned and shook his head. No way was he doing that with her around. It was time to put up the book and get back to work.

Curiosity killed the cat.
"Satisfaction brought it back." Bookworm shot back at him as she moved down the aisle to put her books away.

"Satisfaction brought it back."
Rip merely snorted and disappeared down an aisle, looking to put his book away and get away from the library.

Bookworm put the last of her books up and went to the librarians desk to pick up her things. It was a stack of 3 books and a notebook with a pencil awaiting to be used for notes. She headed out of the library and down the street for the most dreaded part of her day...walking home. It was always dark and scary and she never liked Queens after dark,

Rip slipped out of the library right as it was closed. It was dark thank goodness so no one could see him. He easily blended with the shadows. His hands played with the collar of his shirt. He was dying to rip it off once he got to the lodge, but that wouldn't be for awhile, sadly. He still had to report to the gang and see if they needed him to do anything. If they didn't need him, he could head back to lodge and get some rest.

Bookworm picked up her pace hearing foot steps behind her. She hated being afraid like this but she wasn't going to take any chances. Holding her top book close and ready to throw if she needed a distraction for a quick get away.

Rip was eager to get the night over with. As much as he liked the evening hours, he really didn't like being out right now. It was one of those nights. He could feel it in the air. It felt like that night. He didn't want to think about it now so he shook his head and hurried on his way toward the warehouses.
