Switch was feeling lazy. He had sold okay, but he didn’t feel like selling more. It just wasn’t worth the energy. Instead, he’d relax and enjoy some quiet time at the lodge. Maybe he’d be able to sell better tomorrow. He’d have to check the evening headlines to gauge how things might be in the morning.

Rats walks upstairs into the bunk room. He had bought twenty papers that morning, significantly less than his usual load. He didn't prefer to sell at the moment, instead opting to go back to his bunk and work on drawing for a bit before going to hang out around Medda's. He sits on his bunk, slightly aware that someone else is in the room.

Switch glanced up from his bunk as he heard someone entered the bunk room. It looked like Rats, but he couldn’t tell from this angle. He sat up stretching as he did. He had napped long enough. Besides, he had planned to get some reading done later.
“Selling go all right for you?” he asked Rats, yawning as he did. “Today wasn’t too bad for me. Not the best though.”
He rolled his shoulders some, trying to get the sleep out of his limbs.

“Selling go all right for you?”
Rat looks over at him and shrugs. "Sellin' went ok. Gonna draw now." He sighs, rolling his shoulders.
“Today wasn’t too bad for me. Not the best though.”
He nods, then sighs softly, though it sounds more like a huff.
He had hoped everyone would still be selling so he could have some time alone. However, if Switch doesn't bombard him with questions, he can tolerate him. However, that most likely won't be the case.

"Sellin' went ok. Gonna draw now."
Switch nodded. "That's good..." He frowned a bit as he glanced around. He thought he had set that book down around here somewhere.
He winced slightly as he heard Rats huff. Sounded like maybe the guy hadn't had such a good day. He probably should head out as quickly as possible. If he could find that book first!
"Umm... have you seen a book around here?" he asked hesitantly. Rats' bunk wasn't too far from his. The book might have slid underneath his.

"That's good..." He nods as he reaches under the bunk, grabbing his sketchbook, then fishing around for a pencil on the small cupboard next to him.
"Umm... have you seen a book around here?" "What kind of book, Switch? What are you reading?" He looks at him, raising an eyebrow.

"What kind of book, Switch?"
"Well you know, a decently thick one that..." Switch trailed off, noting Rat's eyebrow. The guy probably wasn't in the mood for mischievousness. He knew Rats well enough to know when not to push his buttons.
"What are you reading?"
He cleared his throat. "An encyclopedia. It's one of the latest editions for Chandler's Encyclopedia. It's pretty big, so you can't miss it."

"I'll keep an eye out and return it to your bunk when I see it."
Switch would have liked Rats to check under the bunk first.... but Rats didn't seem to be interested in doing so any time soon. Switch could be mischievous, yes, but he also knew when to be so. And now, wasn't the best time.
He sighed softly, double-checking his bunk again. Maybe he missed it in his initial search.
