Three Left was absolutly livid. someone had taken Frank's reading cards from his grave, how could someone do this? Frank had told him about his sister, lovely girl as far as he could remember.
entering The Reptile House, he stood infront of a big lizard's terarium.
these animals had a calming effect on him. well... they usually did. right now, he was still really mad.
"robálaithe uaighe dúr." (stupid grave robbers.) he hissed. his voice colder then usual, and filled with poison.

Smolder was just making his rounds, checking to see if all the animals had been fed. It was getting close to closing time, and the animals needed to eat before all the workers left. He worked on checking the snakes first. He wasn't too fond of reptiles, but this was part of his job. He noticed Three Left enter the exhibit, but he didn't think much of it. The boy was rather fond of this exhibit after all. He was, however, surprised to hear a rather venomous tone come from Three Left.
"Best ta watch your tone," he warned as he fed some of the smaller lizards next to the one Three Left was looking at. "Animals don't like that sort of tone."

"Best ta watch your tone," Three Left turned to his right, eyes blazing with anger, and his fists clenched. "you better mind yo...."
"Animals don't like that sort of tone." seeing Smolder, the younger boy immediately stood at attention, and looked at his shoes. he still hadn't replaced them, and now they were getting too small. "my apologies mister Smolder, i'm just so angry right now." he pointed at the lizard infront of him. "normally he can calm me down."

"You better mind yo..."
Smolder merely raised an eyebrow and gave Three Left a warning look. He didn't mind the kid snapping at him, but he did mind if the kid got angry and upset the animals.
"My apologies, Mr. Smolder. I'm just so angry right now."
"Then, you probably shouldn't be in here." He moved to feed the lizard.
"Normally, he can calm me down."
Smolder pursed his lips, feeling a bit sorry for Three Left. He could understand how animals could calm a person, but he had been irritated with the boy for speaking in such an angry tone near the animals.
"Go outside for a bit," he suggested. "Let the air cool your temper." He glanced at the clock above the door to the backroom. "Place is about to close anyways... but, if you cool off and come back in about five minutes, I'll let you sneak back in to see the lizard for a bit."
Normally, he wasn't this gracious. But, he was feeling bad for being snappy at the kid who was just looking for comfort from the animal.

"Then, you probably shouldn't be in here." Three Left opened his mouth to argue.
"Go outside for a bit, Let the air cool your temper." his mouth closed and the young boy nodded. "that's probably a good idear."
"Place is about to close anyways... but, if you cool off and come back in about five minutes, I'll let you sneak back in to see the lizard for a bit." a smile formed on his lips. "thank you mr Smolder." he said, walking toward the door, already in a better mood.

"That's probably a good idea."
Smolder just nodded as he moved to feeding the other reptiles.
"Thank you, Mr. Smolder."
He just shrugged. "Five minutes. Remember that."
In five minutes, most of the workers would be gone and he would be able to give Three Left a chance to stay a little longer.

not having much to do, in the dark outside the reptile house.
Three Left decided to eat the baked... whatever it was. that he had repossessed earlier. that would take him about 5 minutes to eat.
after he was done, he got back inside.
"may i hold him?" Three Left knew that probably was a bad idear. chasing the animal around the reptile house would not be fun at all. besides that, they could bite him, and he was quite fond of his remaining fingers.
"so, how are you doing these days mr Smolder?" he asked, while two smaller lizard's chased eachother. making him of all people giggle.

"May I hold him?"
Smolder raised an eyebrow as he let Three Left back into the exhibit. He didn't answer him, just shook his head. After all, even if the lizard was in enclosure, it did not mean the animal was tame.
"So, how are you doing these days, Mr. Smolder?"
He glanced at the clock, watching the time to make sure they didn't stay too long. There was a night watchman who came about an hour or so after closing to make sure things were locked and no one had broken in. He shrugged.
"Fine, I suppose."
He wasn't much to talk about his own personal life. Well actually, he wasn't one to talk much at all. Oh, he was nice to the younger boys, but he didn't really care to talk to them or hang out with them.

Smolder just shook his head. Three Left had kind of expected that.
"Fine, I suppose." he grinned at the older boy. "that's good, i'm feeling better now too. the cool air really helped."

"That's good, I'm feeling better now too. The cool air really helped."
Smolder nodded. Cool air usually helped him calm down. It wasn't something that helped everyone, but he was glad it helped Three Left. The kid had seemed rather upset earlier. While Three Left was typically a serious young boy, he was usually never angry. It was a little worrisome. But if he was feeling better, that was a good sign. If he saw the kid this angry again... well, he might mention it to Sand and some of the other older boys. Keep an eye on the kid and keep him out of trouble, and maybe... see what was making Three Left so upset. He didn't think he'd be the best person to figure that out.

Three Left Stuffed his pipe, the Lizard gave them a look, that the young boy could only describe as being tired.
supper time was approaching, and therefore so was the time to head towards the lodge. deep in thought he nipped his unlit pipe.
