The days were rather boring. It was summer. It was hot. People just didn't do anything interesting in the summer. All the newsies weren't doing much after selling. Most of the boys just went swimming. As a girl, going swimming really wasn't an option.
At least up at Castle Point there was a slight breeze. It was also a great place to get a good view of almost all of Hoboken. As a bird, it was an excellent place to watch everyone. Not that one could really see anyone clearly, but it was perfect for getting a view of the borders and such and seeing if any newsies from other boroughs were coming into Hoboken.
But no one was... it was just another boring summer day.

Headmaster, having little free time, didn't come here often anymore. as a child he semi-lived here but between his responsibilities as a leader, newsie and cook. he rarely found the time.
seeing one of his birds he decided to talk to her, she might have information for him, but just talking would be nice aswell.
"dobre djen Comb." he greeted. "great hairdo, as always."

"Dobre djen Comb. Great hairdo, as always."
Comb looked over at the leader in surprise. "Oh, Headmaster!"
She greeted him with a salute before blushing a little at his compliment. "Did you need something?"
It would be nice to have something to do.

"Oh, Headmaster!" she looked suprised.
he smiled at the salute she gave him.
"any news on the Brooklyn-Queens issue?" tensions had been rising for a while now.
"and can you talk with Goats? he has gone from happy, talkative, and outgoing. to quiet and less outgoing." "something is bothering him and he is avoiding me for some reason."
he smiled. "now, lets enjoy the view, shall we?"

"Any news on the Brooklyn-Queens issue?"
Combs frowned thoughtfully then shook her head. "It's been pretty quiet... They aren't talkin' that's for sure."
The Brooklyn newsies were on edge. That could be the new leadership... Queens? She wasn't sure what had them so tight-lipped... Probably threats from their leaders, but she could be wrong.
"And can you talk with Goats? He has gone from happy, talkative, and outgoing. to quiet and less outgoing. Something is bothering him and he is avoiding me for some reason."
She cocked her head to the side. "Goats? Yeah, I can talk with him."
That was definitely something to keep in mind. She hadn't noticed the boy had been quiet, but then again, she had been more focused on her bird duties than on her fellow newsies. She would be checking in on that.
"Now, lets enjoy the view, shall we?"
Comb smiled and nodded. "It's one of the best in the whole borough."

"It's been pretty quiet... They aren't talkin' that's for sure." "i expected as much." Headmaster sighed. "well, Hoboken will not get involved."
"Goats? Yeah, I can talk with him." "i suspect he's being bullied."
"It's one of the best in the whole borough." "it certainly is" he said, while sticking a Comb-shaped hairpin, in her hair. it reminded him of one of those big german pretzels, and a butterfly. he was certain that Comb had the most beautiful hairstyles of all newsies. it just needed a personal hairpin.
