Puppeteer was backstage as usual. There wasn't much to do tonight though. Just adjust the curtains and make sure the lights were all set for Medda. He didn't mind the seemingly mundane work. He just wished he had more to do. With so little work to do, Toby insisted that Puppeteer go out and enjoy the night. He mentioned something about working too hard. But Toby didn't understand! Puppeteer liked working. He liked helping work the curtains and setting up the stage. He loved making puppets and having them perform before an audience. What was wrong with work? Puppeteer didn't see anything wrong with it, and Medda didn't seem to mind. Although, she had mentioned that he should try to do things outside of the theatre. She had mentioned a boy a couple of years older than him that probably wouldn't mind showing him around the city. He believed she said his name was "Jack Kelly" or something like that. He wasn't so sure about talking to the young man. His English... well, it wasn't so good. Which was probably why he was still lingering near the backstage far away from the group of boys and girls who were coming to see Medda's performance.
