it is pitch black in the bunkroom. Three Left couldn't sleep, he just stared into the darkness. his bunk is on the far left, all the way in the back. it is as secluded as he is. maybe that is why he likes his bunk so much.
among the sound of sleeping and some snoring newsies, his bunk is the most quiet one. and that is why he truly loves his bottom bunk, where he can truly relax.
within minutes he is sound asleep.

It was almost time for the circulation to open, and the boys were going to be running late if Blondie didn't wake them soon. Well, okay... they wouldn't be late exactly. But, Sand hadn't been thrilled at how close the boys had been cutting it too close lately. So here he was waking up the boys a little earlier than normal to make their leader happy.
He nudged the older boys as hard as he dared before moving on to the younger boys. "Hey, Three. Time to get up. The presses will be rolling soon."

"Morning, chief.
Blondie smiled some and shook his head. "It's Blondie, Three Left."
"What's for breakfast?"
He glanced over his shoulder as he worked on waking up the other boys. "Whatever Mr. Reed has in the kitchen I suppose."
"Oh, and glad to see you're back."
"Good to be back," he replied. It looked like most of the boys were up. They might all actually get to the distribution center early for once.

"It's Blondie, Three Left."
"Okay, Blondie it is." Three Left said while washing up
"Whatever Mr. Reed has in the kitchen I suppose."
"Blondie, have you seen my rubber band?" he held up his left hand. "Its going to be a hard task to eat without it." Three Left said.

"Blondie, have you seen my rubber band?"
"Huh?" He turned around, not quite catching what the younger newsie had said now that all the boys were up. He really wished one of the older boys would take charge. He really wasn't cut out for this.
He weakly pushed and shoved his way back to Three Left.
"Its going to be a hard task to eat without it."
Blondie might have missed the first part, but the second part hinted at what the younger newsie had probably said. "Your rubber band?" He frowned some, trying to think if he had seen it recently. "I don't think I've seen it since I left. Did you check your stash under your bunk?"

"I don't think I've seen it since I left. Did you check your stash under your bunk?"
Three Left thought for a second, then shook his head and mumbled something in irish. "no, i'll take a look." he said before making his way back, to the other end of the bunkroom. within two minutes he held it up. "found it" he shouted to an empty bunkroom only Blondie was still there, waiting. and he frownded a little at him. Three Left looked at the floor. "sorry" he said

"No, I'll take a look."
He nodded and got back to checking on the other boys. If Three Left couldn't find his rubber band, Blondie could always see if Mr. Reed had any spares lying around.
"Found it!"
Blondie looked up in surprise. Three Left was usually a pretty quiet kid, and well, the other boys had just gone downstairs.
He gave the younger boy a small smile. "Glad you were able to find it. Let's get going, okay?"
"Sorry."
He shook his head. "No need to apologize. We aren't running late yet."

sinds it was getting colder, mr Reed had made a warm stew for his boys to enjoy. Three Left Always enjoyed the food mister Reed made for them, he was a decent cook.
"its good" he said inbetween two spoons.

It was always nice when Mr. Reed made them breakfast. Usually, he just had the boys scrounge up whatever they could from the kitchen.
He must be in a good mood.
"Thanks for breakfast, Mr. Reed," Blondie called out towards the lodge owner's office as the boys headed out.
They were really doing good on time. It looked like today would be a good day.

Three Left finnished up quickly, and then followed the other boys outside. it was cold outside, but it wasn't raining and there was no wind. so it could be worse. "time to auction of another stack of papers." he thought.

Blondie stayed towards the back of the group of boys, counting to make sure everyone made it out. With everyone actually getting ready on time, he had high hopes for the rest of the day so he couldn't let one newsie slip behind. He wanted to make it up to Sand for being late and not keeping the boys in line as much as he should.
It looked like everyone was heading straight for distribution center. Good, very good. They really didn't need any distractions.
((By the way, the sign in for Mr. Reed's log book is just for when the boys are going to be staying at a different lodge. Sorry if that wasn't clear for you. I'll check to see where that can be fixed.))

Blondie stayed toward the back of the group of boys, making sure no one was lagging behind. He was a little confused as to why he was doing this. He wasn't the oldest, and he certainly wasn't the leader. This wasn't something he normally did. He just needed to wake them up on time.
He yawned. Oh well, after this maybe he would never have to do this again. It took alot of effort and socializing that he didn't quite care for. It made it easier for him to accidentally slip up, and he most definitely could not let that happen.

Sand was standing in front of the distribution center waiting for the center to open and the boys to get to the center. She looked up seeing the boys were actually are showing up on time. Was she dreaming? They were on time. Sand noticed Blondie at the back. He looked like he was counting. Had he woken them up and got them here on time. "Blondie...?" She laughed a bit as he yawned and leaned against the gate. This was a surprise.

"Blondie...?
He looked up in surprise before giving Sand a small smile. "Hey, Sand."
Blondie had managed to get everyone here on time, and he most definitely wasn't planning on doing it again anytime soon. He hoped Sand would get one of the older boys to do this sort of thing next time.
Now he just had to wait in line to buy his papers. He didn't plan on buying many today.

goodmorning miss Sand. Chief...Blondie...Blondie did good this morning. Didn't he?
"Morning Three left." She said quickly. Sand nodded a bit. "He sure did." She said as Three left went into the line.
Hey Sand.
"Hey." She said with a smile. "You get all the boys here on time?" Sand said looking around at all the boys

after buying his usual amount of papers Three Left walked to his selling spot. to start todays auction. he got his own set of costumers, they always bought from him. being raised around auctions sure comes in handy for selling papes. who knew?

"Hey. You get all the boys here on time?"
Blondie gave Sand a sheepish grin. "Yeah, somehow managed." He shook his head some. "But I don't plan on doing it again anytime soon!"
He slipped in line and bought a few papers. He didn't feel like today would be a good day of selling for him. It smelled like rain later in the evening so he should get indoors to avoid getting a cold. It wouldn't rain until later, but knowing his luck, he would get sick before the rain even started.
Blondie headed off towards his usual spot and passed Three Left. "Good luck with selling," he told the younger newsie, even though he knew the kid didn't really need any luck. Three Left was great at selling.

Yeah, somehow managed. But I don't plan on doing it again anytime soon!
Sand poked him playfully. "What ya talkin about? It's ya job now!"
Good luck with selling.
Sand went and got her own papers. It smelled like rain. Not a lot of papers then. She trotted over to Blondie and smiled a bit. "Gunna rain a bet."

Smolder didn't stay at the lodge the previous night, so he was a little late coming to the distribution center. Okay, he was more than a little late. He knew that for sure when he passed by Three Left on his selling corner. He gave the kid a small smile before hurrying on his way. He hadn't meant to overslept... He knew he'd get an earful from Sand, but he didn't really care. Sure his ears wouldn't be too thrilled, but other than that he could ignore her and she would eventually leave him alone.
He wanted to slip in without being noticed, but Sand was at the gate and being tall definitely wouldn't help. Oh well... he should have known his day wasn't going to go very well.

Sand's eyes widened a bit seeing Smolder this late. She smiled though and leisurely strolled over. "Well sir. Ya are a bit late." Sand said looking him over with a smirk. "So what's ya excuse now Smolder?" She was in a much better mood then usual and it showed with how relaxed she was. It was very unlike her.
